Great place to get Mexican necessities. Feels like I was in Mexico. Lol. Very nice and professional people that can assist you with your needs. Not to mention, I don't speak a word of Spanish lol. ”

“ This place has been around for years and there a reason why. The food has jot changed one bit since I was a kid and I am now 40. While at 5 bucks per taco the food is very well worth it. You can honestly make two tacos out of every one that you buy. That's how big the portions are. I am glad this place has jot changed one bit and I thank them for that. Many places change drastically once they become rather successful. Not this place, the food has tasted awesome every time. Ilthe place is nothing fancy and they have no sitting or dining area. The traditional way is to eat out the back of your pick up, eat inside your car or take it home and risk your food getting cold. We always eat in the parking lot. The carnitas and asada are our favorite and you canot forget the Pico de Gallo something about it makes it like no other. It's definitely no tik tok/social media hyped up restaurant and that's a good thing. Hope you all enjoy this place as much as I have all these years. ”

“ This place has been around forever, they have the best carnitas you can get anywhere, they have a lot of variety, their meat shop is awesome with top quality meats . The service is hectic but fast and friendly, they do a good job in spite of it being so busy in here pretty much day and night. The ambiance is that of a busy carniceria . I love this place and have been coming here for well over 35 plus years . ”

“ I love El Toro Carnicería. Used to come often as a child when I would come to visit family in Santa Ana. I stopped by when I was in the area a couple weeks ago and I love all the authentic Mexican food products they have. They also have a great variety of meat and seafood to choose from the meat counter. Also love that they still sell their freshly made tortillas from their taqueria next door. They also have a liquor store on the other side and they'll bag your drinks with ice if you like. I was hungry and decided on some tacos. They tasted amazing with their freshly made tortillas. I had a carnitas, carne asada, and cabeza (beef cheek) taco and they were all very flavorful and they pack their tacos with meat. They also sell burritos, tamales, and meat by the pound. This is definitely the spot for all your authentic Mexican food dishes or if you're just hungry for some tacos! ”

“ El Toro is a national landmark for Santa Ana they have great carnitas and quick service, don't be scared by the long lines they go quicker than you can blink when you least expect it you'll have the best tacos in town with the best meats and the best service, it might be small and crowded but you won't be there to long quick order takers. ”

“ Came here for tacos for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and this place was busy! You can buy meat by the pound or in individual dishes like tacos/burritos/quesadillas. The menu and ordering system was a little chaotic/unclear at first hence why it's not 5 stars for me; you let an employee know what you'd like to order, they'll prepare it for you and give you a number, and you pay and receive your order once your number is called at the register. Sounds simple enough but I was a little confused at first. Aside from that, the line moves quickly and everyone was pretty nice. The person who took my order spoke English but the cashier spoke Spanish, but either way I think if you don't know Spanish you'll be ok. Cash and card accepted. I got 3 chicken tacos and was initially surprised that it came out to about $5 per taco, but once I got home and sat down to eat them I realized why. The tacos are huge and packed with tons of meat. 2 is plenty filling, which is better than most other places. The tortillas tasted fresh and the meat was perfectly flavorful and juicy. The cashier gave me plenty of salsa verde to go with it too. ”

I made 2 tacos out of 1.. I had green salsa it taste like it was sitting out too long (maybe it was just today; idk). the Pico de gallo was good.. ”
